By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ApplyLeft ("Service"), operated by edbn.me ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account or using ApplyLeft, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
If you are using ApplyLeft on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to 'you' in these Terms will refer to both you individually and the organization.
2. Description of Service
ApplyLeft is a SaaS platform that provides AI-powered resume generation, customization, and optimization tools. Our Service includes:
AI-assisted resume creation tailored to specific job descriptions
Multiple professional resume templates and formatting options
Resume version history and management
PDF export and download capabilities
Interactive chat assistance for resume improvement
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
3. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling two-factor authentication when available. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion.
4. Pro Access and Billing
ApplyLeft offers both free and paid access:
Free Plan: Limited daily resume generations and chat messages with basic features.
Pro Access: 30 days of increased limits (950 resumes, 7,000 chat messages), premium templates, priority support, and advanced features for a one-time payment of $24.00.
Pro Access terms:
Pro access is a one-time purchase valid for 30 days from the date of purchase
There is no automatic renewal – you choose when to renew
Renewals can be made at any time; if you renew before expiry, the new 30-day period is added to your remaining time
We may change pricing with at least 30 days advance notice via email
Refunds may be available for unused portions at our sole discretion
All fees are exclusive of taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities
Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments, subject to their terms and policies
5. Usage Limits and Fair Use
Each subscription plan includes specific daily usage limits for resume generations and chat messages. These limits reset daily at midnight UTC.
You agree not to:
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits
Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free usage
Use automated tools or scripts to access the Service
Share your account credentials with others
Resell or redistribute access to the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these fair use policies. Repeated violations may result in permanent account closure without refund.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Service Ownership: The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of edbn.me and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.
Your Content: You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store using the Service, including resume content, personal information, and work history. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Restrictions: You may not:
Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use the Service to create a competing product or service
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:
To generate content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent
To infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
To transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful components
To interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
To harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity
To violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates this provision, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.
8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
ApplyLeft uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating resume content and providing recommendations. You acknowledge and agree that:
AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and should be reviewed for accuracy
We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated content
You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing all content before use
You should verify all facts, dates, and information in your resume
AI recommendations may not be appropriate for all situations or industries
We strongly recommend that you carefully review all AI-generated content and customize it to accurately reflect your experience, skills, and qualifications before submitting it to employers.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by edbn.me. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
Third-party integrations include but are not limited to:
Supabase for authentication and database services
Dodo Payments for payment processing
GitHub and Google for OAuth authentication
You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any such third-party services.
10. Data Privacy and Security
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including:
Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS
Secure storage of passwords using industry-standard hashing
Regular security audits and updates
Row-level security policies in our database
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by:
Cancelling your subscription through the dashboard
Contacting our support team to request account deletion
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
Non-payment of fees
At our sole discretion for any other reason
All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
12. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDBN.ME DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
Warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any content obtained through the Service
Warranties that any defects will be corrected
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that it will help you secure employment. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EDBN.ME, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
Any other matter relating to the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
The amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or
One hundred dollars ($100.00)
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless edbn.me, its parent company, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
Your violation of these Terms
Your use or misuse of the Service
Your content or any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service
Your violation of any rights of another party
Your violation of any applicable laws, rules, or regulations
This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.
15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Informal Resolution: Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@applyleft.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days.
Binding Arbitration: If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association.
The arbitration will be conducted in English and held in Delaware, United States. Each party will bear its own costs and expenses, and an equal share of the arbitrator's fees and administrative fees.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and edbn.me individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Exceptions: Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may also seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to prevent infringement of intellectual property rights.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
For any disputes not subject to arbitration, you agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to these Terms.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
Notice of changes will be provided by:
Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Effective Date"
Sending an email notification to your registered email address
Displaying an in-app notification upon your next login
By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
If modification is not possible, the invalid provision shall be severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or agreements published by us on the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and edbn.me regarding the Service.
These Terms supersede and replace any prior agreements, understandings, or representations regarding the Service, whether written or oral.
